課程概述

This course introduces theorems, algorithms, and applications of linear algebra. The topics of this course include linear equations, matrices, linear transformations, determinants, eigenvalues, vector spaces, and so on. Some important ideas and methods in numerical linear algebra are also introduced. 

課程目標
This class will provide students with basic linear algebra knowledge that can be applied in their future professional or academic carrier. 
課程要求
There will be about 8 in-class quizzes and about 5 homework assignments. Some homework assignments need to be completed using R (www.r-project.org), a numerical computing platform.
